Description:
2nd Annual Bunka No Hi: Japanese Culture Day at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. In Japan, Bunka No Hi is a national holiday celebrating arts and culture. Our celebration will also promote Japanese art and culture from the Buffalo Niagara region. Tickets include Ikebana displays, many demonstrations, entertainment, tea and delicious tidbits.
This year's celebration will feature:
Ikebana displays and demonstrations
Traditional Japanese dancing with Odori No Kai
Kendo demonstrations
Japanese tea ceremony demonstrations
Japanese cuisine demonstrations and tastings with Chef Krista Van Wagner

Weinberg Campus will provide a free memory screening to any interested community member. This beneficial program is sponsored by the National Alzheimer’s Foundation and assists those who have concerns about their own memory health and offers options to those who participate.
The free confidential screenings will be provided by a qualified health professional. Results are meant to be informative and do not serve as a diagnosis.
The screenings will be provided individually and privately, and depending on a person’s score, a recommendation to consult a physician is provided.
