Buffalo Niagara Event Professionals (BNEP) is composed of professionals involved in the creation, management, production and implementation of special events and promotions. Membership is open to anyone primarily involved in planning special events or promotions from the corporate, non-profit or independent sectors.
BNEP was founded in 1987 by Terry Kazmierczak of M&T Bank as Buffalo Events Network for those who's primary job was to produce Buffalo-area events. The name change was implemented by the membership in 2007 to mark the group's 20th anniversary and the growth experienced over those years in both the group and the profession.
Membership is comprised of event planners and promoters in three categories: non-profit, corporate and independent event planners. Monthly meetings are comprised of educational topics in the field as well as member sharing and collaboration.
